A wonderful way to end our trip up north by going whale watching.  It was a beautiful day and they told us to dress warm as it gets very cold out in the Bay of Fundy, and they were right.  We saw several kinds of seals, harbour porpoise, a bald eagle, minke whales and also finback whales.

Coming back into St. Andrews

We traveled back to St. John today via ferry, which took about 2 1/2 hours, and then on to St. Andrews.  It was amazing to see how many people and vehicles they can get on the ferry.  We got here in time to walk into town and look around, and we have booked a whale watching tour for tomorrow.

Downtown Yarmouth, NS
Sea Captain's House
Sea Captain's House

We made a trip today to Yarmouth, which was a really beautiful ride along the coast stopping to see some of the Sea Captain's Houses and lighthouses.  It is fascinating to read and hear how the lighthouse keepers lived with their families in these small buildings, many of whom had 5-6 children.
This lighthouse was built in the shape of an apple core
so it would have less wind resistance

Biggest wooden church in North America

Yesterday we went to Annapolis Royal where they have a great Farmer's Market with vendors of all kinds.  It was a beautiful day, in the 70s, and wonderful to be outside near the water. We went to dinner with our RV neighbors Jeff and Dianna Welling, who are from Charleston, SC, to celebrate his birthday.
