Our day was spent in Bar Harbor, probably the prettiest town yet that we have visited.  I'm happy to say we have finally found some cooler weather.....the first time in weeks that we haven't been hot.  Having windows open and a gentle breeze.....couldn't ask for anything better.

A round of golf and a quick stop to see the life-size chocolate moose, Lenny, all 1,700 pounds of him, yesterday and now we are headed to Bar Harbor, ME.

Now that's some chocolate!

This is certainly the most "unique" check in
at any campground we've ever stayed in!
But, can't wait to discover what treasures there are.

We took a ride after dinner and fog was rolling in over the water

What a delightful day as we were able to reconnect with a classmate after 40+ years. Nick and I met Alice Egli Shinn and her husband, Jon at Harraseeket Yacht Club in Freeport, ME for lunch and to catch up on all these years.  Alice, Nick and I went to school together from elementary school through graduation. Alice and Jon are officially from California but are spending 18 months on their boat, Sacajawea. They took us out to the boat for a visit and tour, and it was a glorious day to be on the water. More beautiful scenery everywhere we look.  I'm still in awe of how beautiful this part of the country is......just too cold for we southerners in the winter. A great day and visit on their beautiful floating home.

Alice knows what she's doing......
as she's even sailed across the Atlantic
with her son and one mate

All in all, a glorious day!  Thank you Alice and Jon!

What an incredibly beautiful area this is.  We set out this morning for Ogunquit, Wells, and Kennebunkport.  Thanks to Debbie and Ritt for telling us about these areas and what to see and the best places to eat. A delightful walk along the ocean on Marginal Way in Ogunquit with incredible scenery and lots of great shops, lunch at Maine Diner in Wells, then on to Kennebunkport.
